Welcome to our brief profile of the history of our company and activities.
GERCHI was founded in 2005 by Sebastian Langhorst, German (managing owner of EIRON GmbH, Germany – www.eiron.com) and Sun Hongfa, Chinese (managing partner of Eastern Nature International Limited, China), as equal partners and as a German – Chinese venture company, combining the best of the two cultures. The headquarters of GERCHI are situated in Shanghai, China. We have offices in Germany and Mexico and representations in Brazil and Poland.
At the beginnig, the company concentrated on the marketing of semi-finished products from the steel industry. Soon trading of raw materials for the iron- and steel and related industries was added to our business activities.

Since 2011 we got engaged in the sales of mining equipment, after opening our own iron/manganese ore mine in Malaysia, operated by our daughter company GERCHI Mining Co. Ltd.
As a natural development of the company, we extended the business to engineering beneficiation processes for these industistries and added recycling of industrial wastes to our potfolio, in the years after.
In 2017, after the raw material business lead us to projects in Mexico in 2009, we started the first project in the agricultural sector in this country. Thus, researching the possibilities of Guar plantations and developing our own basis for plantations on industrial scale. In 2020, a new milestone has be set and we will start producing Guar gum (E412 for the cosmetic-, food- and fracking industry) in an industrially interesting volume.
Administrating this, we organized the activities by creating a new brand – GERCHIFOODS .
